Stems From “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” Soundtrack

I am so glad that something from the 39-track soundtrack was released! The score was amazing, better than the one for “The Social Network”. It’s a real fucking shame that it was snubbed from the Academy Awards.

Hopefully Trent chooses to release a few more stems, especially for “Immigrant Song”!!!!

Very generous of Trent, I feel so happy to have him in music industry.

Stems of the two vocal songs would be a wet dream come true. I’d love to loop more melody through Is Your Love Strong Enough, and raise prominence of the vocals in Immigrant Song.

In the absence of those, though, Oraculum and Great Bird Of Prey would be my next choices. Very happy about their release.

They say “Commercial exploitation is not permitted” So basically its a Creative Common licence (no commercial use)?

Would not expect to see Immigrant Song – It’s not a Reznor original composition so there would be real Publishing issues in distributing stems….

yeah which makes it useless for me since i wouldn’t be able to monetize a youtube video with it

Sorry, it was an alright score but it wasn’t as effective as “The Social Network” score and it does not deserve a spot with the other nominations for an Academy Award

A clearer copyright license statement would be really great. How about CC-BY-NC-SA, which is (afaik) what previous NIN multitrack releases have been under? (I’d argue against the NC bit, since it’s practically/pragmatically troublesome, but let’s let that slide for now)
